40cents:-The Afro-Shirazi Party Headquarters in which all party meetings are held is located at Kisiwandui on Ngambo side of Zanzibar Town.The Headquarters was officially opened on 19th February 1967, by Union President Mwalimu Julius Nyerere.
70cents:- New BuildingsBuildings at Kilimani, Bambi and Michenzani are among the nucleus of the vast scale building programme, launched by the Government of the Afro-Shirazi Party.
Shs.1/50:-Television in Zanzibar- On 31st August, 1973, the Revolutionary Council, under the leadership of the then President, the late Mzee Abeid Amani Karume, approved on behalf of the Government of the Afro-Shirazi Party to purchase and instal coloured Television. The principle aim is to use it as a medium of imparting knowledge on different sujects, as science to students, agriculture to farmers and workers, as well as to spread the policy of Socialism.
Shs.2/80:-Amaan Stadium- The completion of Amaan Stadium was the fulfilment of the long-sought for play ground. Apart from Sports, the stadium is being used for public meetings and for Celebrations of National importance. It is fully equipped, including floodlights, for holding football matches, basket-ball, athletics and other sports. It has a seating capacity for 25,000 spectators.
