Cancellation Shows a COBRA . The illustration shows an Alize aircraft.

A Stamp was also released on INAS 300 (WHITE TIGERS) on 07 Jul 2010 to mark its Golden Jubilee .

A Special Cover was released on 02 Jul 1983 to mark the Centenary  Shimla head Post Office Building . The Cover illustration shows the HPO Building. This Building was established in 1883 on asite known as ‘Conny Lodge’ . It is one of the Heritage Post Office Buildings of the Country and a stamp was issued on 13 May 2010.

Special Cover – India – Chauri Chaura

A Special cover issued on 19 May 1987 and shows the famous Chauri Chaura at Gorakhpur  associated with Gandhiji and India’s Freedom Struggle.

Chauri Chaura in Gorakhpur District of Uttar Pradesh is associated with the freedom movement of the country. It is around 25 km south-east of Gorakhpur. Fed up with the repressive policies of the British, the villagers burned down a police station on 4th Feb 1922. This was in retaliation to the police firing on a procession of satyagrahis in Chauri Chaura. In this incident around 22 policemen were killed and Gandhi ji immediately called off the non-cooperation movement.
