Prafulla Chaki was born on December 10, 1888 in the Bihari village of Bogra district, now in Bangladesh. Prafulla Chhaki was a Bengali revolutionary associated with the Jugantar group of revolutionaries who carried out assassinations against British colonial officials in an attempt to secure Indian independence.

Sri Sri Borda was a philosopher and founder of “Satsang”, – the community of the lovers of existance. There is only one God and that every single being is the child of God. Sri Sri Borda Amarendranath Chakravarty Popularly known as Sri Sri Borda was born on 21st November 1911 at Himayetpur, in Pabna District of Bengal Province, now in Bangladesh. He guided the movement of Satsang in such a way that the void caused by the physical absence of Sri Sri thakur was filled up.

“Noted for her compassion toward the poor and suffering, Mother Teresa, a diminutive Roman Catholic nun and honorary US citizen, served the sick and destitute of India and the world for nearly 50 years.

In 1928 she joined the Loretto Convent in Rathfarnam (Dublin), Ireland, where she received the religious name Teresa. The Loretto order sent her to India where she began her missionary work with the poor. In the slums she took care of the destitute people, sick, dying, starving, abandoned babies, abandoned children and young people, single mothers. She founded schools, maternity homes and even a leper colony.

In 1979 Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. She died on 5 September 1997 in Kolkata. On 19 October 2003, Mother Teresa was proclaimed an “icon of the Good Samaritan” by Pope John Paul II.
The  44-cent stamp showing a portrait of the Roman Catholic nun ,the postage stamp would be unveiled at a function in Washington on Sep 5,2010.

Mother Teresa died in Calcutta on Sep 5, 1997, and is buried there. She had been a citizen of India since 1948.

Mother Teresa, an ethnic Albanian, was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu on Aug 26, 1910, in Skopje in what is now the Republic of Macedonia.

Her father was noted Indian freedom fighter and first chief minister of Madhya Pradesh (then known as Madhya Bharat), Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla. She was the youngest of 12 children.
