The 2014 FIFA World Cup Football will be played in Brazil from 12 Jun to 13 Jul 2014. It will be Second time that Brazil is hosting the World Cup -earlier it hosted in 1950. The National Teams of 32 Countries including hosts will vie for the World Cup Trophy at 12 different City Venues in Brazil.

The 32 teams have been divided into Eight groups of Four teams each.

Group D- Uruguay,Costa Rica , England, Italy

A new 88 page full colour book has been released jointly by Stamps Today and Army Postal Service.
The book is in full colour, A4 size (8.5 x 11cm) soft back. The price of the book is Rs.350.00, plus postage.
It illustrates all the APS covers from 1971 to March end 2009 inlcuding all the overprinted military stamps issued since 1953.

NVI Stamps – Singapore

Non Denominated stamps were issued to ensure that some types of Postage stamps retained their Postal Value even if the rates were increased. In many countries it is now known as No Value Indicator (NVI ) postage.

The First Singapore NVI’s were issued in 1995 and invariably all stamps had “for Local Address only ” written on it. In 2004 a second value “2nd Local” was issued since then for  standard postage within Singapore upto 20 grams    “Ist Local ” stamps are valid and “2nd Local ” stamps are valid upto 40 grams letters.
