The Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary (also known as Sasan-Gir) is a forest and wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat. Established in 1965, with a total area of 1412 km² (about 258 km² for the fully protected area and 1153 km² for the Sanctuary), the park is located 65 km to the south-east of Junagadh and 60 km to south west of Amreli.

It is the sole home of the pure Asiatic Lions (Panthera leo persica) and is considered to be one of the most important protected areas in Asia due to its supported species. The ecosystem of Gir, with its diverse flora and fauna, is protected as a result of the efforts of the government forest department, wildlife activists and NGOs. The forest area of Gir and its lions were declared as “protected” in the early 1900s by the then Nawab of the princely state of Junagadh. The cancellation depicts lion.

Sayajirao Gaekwad III was the Maharaja of Baroda State from 1875 to 1939, and is notably remembered for reforming much of his state during his rule. On assuming the reins of government, some of his first tasks included education of his subjects, uplifting of the downtrodden, and judicial, agricultural and social reforms, . He played a key role in the development of Baroda’s textile industry, and his educational and social reforms included among others, a ban on child marriage, legislation of divorce, removal of untouchability, spread of education, development of Sanskrit, ideological studies and religious education as well as the encouragement of the fine arts. The cancellation depicts statue of Maharaja Sayaji Rao Gaekwad.

The cancellation depicts exquisite Jain bronze statue of Chaurie Bearer (Chamar Dharini) which was found in Akota area of Baroda and belong to 8th Century A.D. It is now exhibited in the Baroda Museum. Despite its small size, the figure has an aesthetically impressive form. The graceful figure stands in the three bedded (tribhanga) posture on a lotus pedestal symbolizing its importance in the pantheon. The urah suli or the necklace reveals the vintage of the statue as being of the 8th century A.D., its stylistic affiliations being in the directions of the Northern Pratihara idion.The cancellation has been introduced at Vadodara HO on 16.01.1989.

Pallikere is located in Kasaragod district. Pallikere has a shallow beach and provides a great view of the Bekal fort which is just a walking distance away. Large number of tourists visits this beach, enjoys its beauty and takes a pleasure bath in it.The Bekal Fort is the biggest fort in Kerala spreading over 40 acres and presents a beautiful scenery to the visitors. Some important features of this fort are the water-tank with its flight of steps, the tunnel opening towards the south, the magazine for keeping ammunition and the broad steps leading to the Observation Tower, which is a rarity. From there one has an ample view of towns in the vicinity like Kanhangad, Pallikkara, Bekal, Kottikkulam, Uduma etc.The Fort appears to have been built up from the sea since almost three fourths of its exterior is drenched and the waves continually stroke the citadel.
