During Rajpex 2012, 16 designs of Rajasthan important places were introduced.

Ranakpur is a small village in the state of Rajasthan in India. The place is famous for its Ranakpur Temple, which has some splendid carvings and architecture. Built during the 15th Century, these temples are an exquisite example of fantastic architecture. The temple has been carved in Amber stone and has marble interiors. The Ranakpur Jain temple is an important pilgrimage of the Hindus. The Ranakpur temple is dedicated to Adinath or Rishabhji who was a famous Jain Tirthankara.

The massive temple is spread across an area of 48,000 square feet and has 29 huge halls. The temple has four openings opposite and adjacent thus symbolizing the four faced image of Adinath. A splendid creation, one has to visit the temple to bask in the breath taking beauty and astounding carvings.

During Rajpex 2012, 16 designs of Rajasthan important places were introduced.

Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur is one of the largest forts in forts. It is also the most magnificent fort in Jodhpur, infact, in the whole Rajasthan. The fort is amongst the popular tourist places in India. It is situated on a 150 m high hill. It was founded by Rao Jodha in 1459. The Mehrangarh Fort can be reached from the city, 5 kms below, through a circular road.

Jodhpur Mehrangarh Fort History is related to Rao Jodha. He became the fifteenth Rathore ruler in 1458. One year after his accession, Jodha was advised to move his capital to a safer place. The one thousand years old Mandore fort was slowly and gradually deteriorating. This led to the foundation of Mehrangarh Fort.

During Rajpex 2012, 16 designs of Rajasthan important places were introduced.

Vijay Stambh or “Tower Of Victory” is an imposing structure located in Chittorgarh Fort. This tower is the piece-DE-resistance of Chittaurgarh. It was constructed by Mewar king Rana Kumbha between 1442 AD to 1449AD to commemorate his victory over the combined armies of Malwaand Gujarat led by Mahmud Khilji . Dedicated to Vishnu,this 37.19 m high 9 storied tower is one of the most remarkable in India . It is built partly of red sand stone and partly of white marble and is enriched by numerous images of Hindu gods and goddesses with inscriptions at bottom of each. It is believed that the tower took 10 years to be completed.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh released a postage stamp issued in the memory of late Puran Chandra Gupta, the founder of Hindi daily Dainik Jagaran. Gupta had also served as Chairman of Press Trust of India for two years.
Promoted by the Gupta family, the Jagran group is one of the well known business groups in North India and is immensely popular for its Hindi daily ‘DAINIK JAGRAN’. Promoted in 1942 by the late Puran Chandra Gupta, a freedom fighter, Dainik Jagran is currently ranked as the No. 1 Hindi newspaper in India. With a strong readership base of 17.5 mn readers spread over 8 Indian states, Dainik Jagran reaches out to nearly 56% of the Indian population. The newspaper covers a vast geographical area comprising the states of UP, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Bihar, Delhi, Harayana, Jharkhand, M.P. and parts of Rajasthan .
