Rabindranath Tagore was born in Calcutta into a wealthy and prominent family. His father was Maharishi Debendranath Tagore, a religious reformer and scholar. His mother, Sarada Devi, died when Tagore was very young – he realized that she will never come back was when her body was carried through a gate to a place where it was burned.

Special Cover – Silver Jubilee Year of Army Public School DAGSHAI-2011 – By India Post
The Army Public School Dagshai nestling atop the Dagshai Hills was the brain child of Lt. Gen K Sunderji PVSM, GOC-in-C, Western Command and Lt. Gen. Ranjit Singh Dayal, PVSM, MVC, COS, Western Command and became a reality on 01st June 1986. It is the first institution of its kind, which was setup by the Army with the specific aim to provide quality education to the children of the Army Personnel.
The APS Dagshai is amongst the best-equipped residential schools in India.
Located at a height of about 6000ft. above sea level. Dagshai was chosen as location for the school to the needs of children of the Armed Forces. The name Dagshai came from Dag-E-Shai during the Moghul rule as prisoners were branded on their forehead and kept there.

Namdhari Kullu Shawls was founded in the year 1992 with the aim of providing employment to the jobless weavers of the nearby villages. , Namdhari Kullu Shawls is famous for its good quality, original work & have made earnest efforts to maintain the traditional crafts of the valley in step with the modern drift. Most of the shawl industries are engaged in the manufacturing of Ladies and Gents shawls (woolen, angora and pashmina), mufflers, scarves, etc. At Namdhari Kullu Shawls, they use improved techniques and designs. They were the first to launch Silk Pashmina and Angora shawls throughout India.
Namdhari Shawls exports its products to America, Hampshire, London, Russia, Paris, Norway and Japan. The main reason behind the popularity is our truthfulness to the customers and the quality products endowed on them at the most reasonable rates.
