Stamps of India – India International Centre – By India Post

The India International Center was founded in 1958 by the then Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. It was dedicated and opened to the public in the year 1962. The India International Center is among the best convention centers in Delhi. This non-profit institution works for the cultural interaction between nations. The institution broadly provides three kinds of service to its members and others. The first one is to provide intellectual service through seminars, symposium, meeting, debates and discussions. It also houses one of the best libraries in India that also undertakes regular publications. The second is cultural service, which is undertaken through the regular song and dance performances apart from Film screenings. The third and last is community service through its hostel and catering facilities where people meet and mingle together.

Stamp Booklets – Bihar Stamp Expo 2012 – By India Post

A set of 4 stamp booklets containing 4 stamps of Rs 5.00 each depicting Faces Of Buddha, Lord Mahavira, Jainism, Ik Onkar Patna Sahib Gurudwara and Save Ganga were released during Bihar Stamp Expo 2012 by India Post.

Faces of Buddha:- Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under the peepal tree at Bodh Gaya. Lord Buddha travelled and preached at Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, Nalanda, Patna, Vaishali and Kesaria in Bihar. Buddhust from Japan, Thailand, Myanmar and Sri Lanka visit these places as a pilgrimage centre.

Lord Mahavira, Jainism:- Bihar holds a special significance as lord Mahavira, the exponent of Jainism was born here and also attained salvation in Bihar’s Pawapuri. At pawapuri there is beehive-shaped shrine and footprints of lord Mahavira. Tirthankar Mahavira:preached at Kundalpur, Rajgir Gonawan in Nawada district, Bishram Temple at Ara district, Lachhuar at Jamui, Kamaldah at Patna, Champanagar at Bhagalpur and also stayed at those places.

Patna Sahib is one of the holiest city of Sikhs, 10th Guru. Guru Govind Singh was born here. Revered places of Sikhism are – Takht Sri Harmindar Sahib, Gurudwara Pahila Bara, Gurudwara Bal Leela, Gurudwara Handisaheb, Gurudwara Taksali Sangat, Chacha Fagu Mal, Pakki Sangat, Bari Sangat & Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh Chanki.

Ganga:- is the most revered and worshiped river in the country. It is not just a river but an embodiment of ancient traditions, wisdom and knowledge.Ganga is polluted has shrunk and dried up because of its exploitation and due to dumping of garbage, construction and operation of dams, industrial waste. pesticides. To save Ganga public awareness is necessary.

Did many works in Arithmetic, Algebra, Trigonometry and presented a number of innovations in mathematics and Astrology in verse form. Aryabhat discovered the value of Pie (TT) and gave the concept of Zero. Aryabhat Shloka composed on Pie and Stars have also been depicted on the cover.
