Traffic Light – New India Stamps –Alignment Mark- 2010 Issues

A new type of alignment mark has been seen along with Traffic Lights on stamps printed at ISP, Nashik.  NINETEEN (19) Issues of 2009  were issued with this  new type of alignment mark. The Twelvefth  Issue of 2010 with this TL mark is  Children’s Day 2010 issue. (stamp no 32-35  with this type alignment mark)

Old Type – one horizontal line ,one vertical line  cutting the horizontal at 90* to divide into four quadrants and a circle in Centre.

New Type -  A square divided into four quadrants by one horizontal and vertical line intersecting and a smaller square inside which is totally shaded black.

Pro Juventute is a charitable foundation in Switzerland established in 1912. It is dedicated to supporting the rights and needs of Swiss children and youth.

Since 1913, the Swiss Post Office has issued an annual Charity stamp series to support the work of Pro Juventute. Booklet on Flowers issued in 1975.

The festival of Raksha Bandhan is  dedicated to the love and affection shared between a brother and a sister. On this day, sisters pray for long life of their brothers and ask God to bless them with his blessings. Brothers, in turn, give them  rakhi gifts and promise to care life long.

Rakhi is basically a sacred thread of protection embellished with the love and affection of a sister for her brother. This day is also known as Raksha Bandhan and celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Shravana in India. This frail of thread of Rakhi is considered as stronger than iron chains as it binds the most beautiful relationship in an inseparable bond of love and trust.

Rakhi Envelopes have been  Issued By Indian Post in July 2010 to mark this festival. These Are DuPont Tyvek Envelopes. Cost Rs 5 each.
