FDC – Australia – Coins on Stamps Australia Issued Two stamps to Commemorate the 150th Anniversary of First Australian Coin. The Earliest Australian Gold Coins known as ‘ Sydney Mint Patterns’ struck at Sydney on 23 Jun 1855. The Coins had “Australia” and “Sydney MInt” on the design.
