On his return from Africa Gandhiji founded his first Ashram on 25 May 1915 at Kochrab Village in Ahmedabad and named it “Satyagraha Ashram”.
A Pictorial cancellation on Kochrab Satyagraha Ashram Smarak – Ahmedabad was introduced at Ellisbridge Post Office Ahmedabad on 30 Jan 1998.
