United Theological College , Bangalore was founded on 8th July 1910 to train leaders for the church and society in India. From a small beginning with about 10 students, and seven staff, the college has now grown to train more than 160 students. It has produced leaders who have served society over the last one hundred years.
The college has welcomed world leaders. Mahatma Gandhi visited it in 1927 and declared, “To live the gospel is the most effective way…I can say that the life of service and uttermost simplicity is the best preaching”.
