Pictorial Cancellation – India – Inaugural Cover – Charminar

A Pictorial Cancellation on Charminar was introduced at Hyderabad GPO 0n 21 April 1975. An Inaugural cover showing Charminar on cover and cancellation is listed.

Charminar meaning ” Mosque of Four Minarets” is a famous mosque located in Hyderabad . It was built by Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah the Fifth Ruler Of Qutb Shahi Dynasty in 1591 shortly after shifting his Capital from Golconda to Hyderabad.
