Gandhi – Centenary of Visit to Mauritius

Gandhiji first visited Mauritius in 1901. To commemorate the centenary of that visit an FDC was released on 02 Oct 2001. The cover has Gandhiji’s photograph while taking a walk and a Rs 15 stamp with FDI cancellation. The stamp also has the design of Re 1 stamp issued by Mauritius in 1969.
